The Writers’ Union of Morocco has announced the opening of nominations for the awarding of the prize for young writers for 2010.
Nominations for the prize for poetry, short stories, novels and theatre are open until Oct. 15, said the executive office of the Union in a statement.
The prize for Young Writers is open to applicants aged under 30 years. Applicants are asked to provide three copies of their works, a handwritten application and a photocopy of the national identity card, the statement said, adding that applications must be directed to the headquarters of the Union at Rue Soussa No. 5 Rabat.
Reading committees will be established by the executive board of the Writers' Union of Morocco to select candidates for the literary prize.
