Seeds of Africa Foundation is a community enhancement and development program that works with children, young adults and their families in Africa. Based out of New York, we have an after-school tutorial center in Adama, Ethiopia with plans to expand. We are currently seeking a talented and versatile writer to promote our organization and to help spread the message of Seeds on our website.
Summary of the Position:
-We are looking for an individual with experience in writing content for websites, magazines, and/or blogs.
-The writer will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for managing website content, including writing, editing and layout.
-Some knowledge of HTML is preferred, but more important to the position is the ability to promote the work and the message of Seeds in clear and concise prose.
Overall Requirements:
-Excellent writing and editing skills
-An ability and willingness to work independently
-An ability to work on a variety of projects and to write for various audiences
Applicants must have:
-A bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field (English, Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Social Work, Education, etc.)
-Writing and/or editing experience
-Demonstrated ability to perform research tasks and to meet deadlines
