Weskus Media has a challenging opportunity for a journalist in its Vredenburg office. The person will report to the Editor and will be responsible for gathering news and assisting with production-related tasks.
He/she has at least three years’ experience in the newspaper, has excellent planning and organisational skills, as well as good communication skills.
The ideal candidate:
- is an accomplished journalist with proven writing experience in both Afrikaans and English;
- has a keen news sense and is versatile;
- shows initiative and can act independently; can work under pressure;
- is prepared to work irregular hours; and
- has a valid driver's license
