Administrative Manager Announcement

The GBP is a young initiative that needs to establish a solid foundation and organizational structures to ensure its success. We’re searching for an Administrative manager for this purpose. You will join the Golden Baobab vision team and your role will be to determine and organize appropriate structures for the effective running of our virtual organization. You will partner with the director to execute on strategies and your main responsibility will be to ensure that all operations work together smoothly and efficiently. You will work from your own computer wherever you are, but in constant communication with the Golden Baobab team. The Golden Baobab operates an all-volunteer team; this is an unpaid position (may turn into a paid position in the future). Hours:10 hrs/wk

Literary Prize Coordinator

The Prize Coordinator will join the Golden Baobab vision team to oversee the writing competition that is at the heart of our activities. The GBP is still in start up stage so the coordinator will have the unique opportunity of shaping the framework of this award that is set to change the face of African literature. You will work from your own computer wherever you are and in close communication with the GB team. The Golden Baobab operates an all-volunteer team; this is an unpaid position (may turn into a paid position in the future). Hours:8+ hrs/wk

Communications Manager

The Communications Manager will join the Golden Baobab vision team to handle the organization’s public and media communications. You will spearhead our media department to generate publicity that will push the GBP and its winners into an international limelight. This is a young media department so your direction and initiatives will shape what the Golden Baobab Prize is to become. You will work from your own computer wherever you are and in close communication with the GB team. The Golden Baobab operates an all-volunteer team; this is an unpaid position (may turn into a paid position in the future). Hours:8+ hrs/wk
