The successful applicant will be responsible for internal and external communications for the group of companies.
Minimum Requirements
B degree in Communications or Journalism§ 3-5 years experience in Journalism§ Total work experience of 5-10 years§ Experience in new media (social, digital, mobile)§ Wide network of media contacts§ Language-and Writing Skills in Afrikaans and EnglishInterviewing
Job Specification
Internal Communication:
- Identify topics of communication as well as the questions and methodology regarding the gathering of information in order to communicate
- Conduct interviews with internal managers / stakeholders
- Writing newsletters and information sheets
- Co-ordinate feedback from readers
- Building of networks and contacts with media
- Identifying, coordinating and arranging publicity events
- Act as occasional coordinator
- Identify and provide topics to journalist(s) / authors to write articles
- Link between journalist(s) and internal stakeholders for writing articles
- Writing newsletters, information sheets, articles, advertisements, marketing material and content for websites
