Job Opening: Junior IT Journalist for My Broadband (South Africa)

Job description

We are looking for a young person with a love for IT, tech and the Internet to assist us in running one of the largest websites in the country. Your tasks will include:

--Attending press briefings
--Rewriting press releases
--Basic website maintenance like uploading content, managing news feeds and other related tasks
--Basic SEO tasks
--Managing Twitter and Facebook accounts
--Searching for content online and adding relevant content to articles to create context
--Uploading image galleries

A strong knowledge of the Internet and technology is a must, and you must be bright enough to learn new skills quickly and implement fast and accurately.

Requirements

1. You must be bright with a strong academic performance in Mathematics, Science and/or Computer Science at School/University. An A in at least one of the subjects is preferable. A strong scientific/mathematical/logical ability is non-negotiable.

2. You must really love the Internet and technology and know your way around the web, online services, and the like.

3. It is advantageous if you are able to write well and enjoy the media field.
