Job title: Reporter
Position Overview: The position holder will be required to contribute to the overall strategic objective of the company of bringing high quality television news content to the Nigerian and the world by collecting and analyzing facts about newsworthy events through interview, investigation, or observation.
* Investigates leads and news tips, look at documents, observe events at scene and innterview people.
* Gather and verifies factual information regarding story through interview, observation a and research.
* Organizes material, determines slant or emphasis and writes story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
* Cover breaking news in the field including producing, shooting, editing and scriptwriting.
Work Experience Requirements:
This individual should have at least 5 years experience as a reporter. He or she
should have at least 2 years experience internationally.
Experience in on-line journalism will be extremely helpful.
Educational Requirements:
B.S.C and a higher national diploma are mandatory. Post graduate work in journalism or related areas is highly desirable. Any other special course work or professional work is also desirable.
