Job description
- The generation of news stories and features ideas using initiative, creativity and imagination in line with TV Plus's strategy and focus
- To source and gather accurate and appropriate information for use in magazine features
- To produce well-written, accurate and relevant stories, features and column material in the TV Plus style
- To apply efficient time management and meet deadlines
- Must have a sound knowledge of the target market and television industry.
- Must be enthusiastic, energetic and a strong team player
- Attending relevant industry events and maintaining professional relationships with publicists and celebrities.
- Relevant degree/diploma in journalism or media studies and a minimum of three years' experience as a journalist in a magazine or newspaper environment, or a minimum of five years' experience
- Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, as well as a driver's license are essential
- All prospective candidates must have a portfolio of previously published work
- Journalist must be able to write copy in Afrikaans within the editorial division.
