We are seeking an experienced financial correspondent to report, write and translate into Arabic Islamic finance news stories for the Reuters Cairo Based Arabic news service as part of plans to increase Arabic financial news coverage. Based in Cairo, the successful candidate will be required to build up a network of Islamic Finance sources in the Middle East region to provide Arabic original reporting on the fast growing sector of Islamic banking and Islamic financial instruments. He/she should have the initiative and ability to break news, write speedy and accurate news reports in Arabic, conduct interviews and deliver analysis to provide an indispensible Arabic news service to financial professionals. The applicant will be ready to experiment with and adapt to new formats of news delivery and news presentation. He/she must provide accurate and forward-looking information for the Arabic service that will address client needs. Excellent financial news judgment, proven writing and translation skills and a competitive spirit are essential. Good command of English language is a must.
