Job description
Junior journalist required for an entertainment and lifestyle related online and print publication based in Pretoria East.
Responsibilities:
- Produce daily stories for online portal regarding current events and happenings in the local and international entertainment industries.
- Produce feature pieces for print and online publication.
- Review live events, festivals, music concerts etc.
- Develop and nurture a healthy contact list within the local entertainment industry.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Journalism or English Studies.
- Interest in online journalism and all facets of the online world.
- A passion for entertainment (live events, movies, festivals, music).
- Knowledge of the international and local entertainment environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Advantageous
- Basic photo capture and editing skills.
- Ability to write sports related content.
- Proven writing track record in student publications.
- Basic HTML skills
