Job description
Sun Circle Publishers (Pty) Ltd is looking for a committed, dynamic and experienced journalist for its Screen Africa monthly trade print publication, Website & Weekly e-newsletter. The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in magazines/newspapers (preferably in B2B), and should be an excellent writer.
The main responsibilities include:
* Identify important news issues for our online and print publications.
* Research, identify & write a variety of accurate articles in the news and features genres to deadline.
* Attend and report on industry events.
* Assist in the proof reading of copy.
* Edit Freelance copy.
* Work closely with the editor and publisher
Requirements
* Degree or Tertiary education in English, Journalism, communications or media studies.
* Writing and editing experience.
* Computer literate.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Working under pressure.
* Professional work ethic.
* Independent worker.
* Ability to write concisely.
* A keen interest in Film, Television, Production & Technology and New Media.

Remuneration: CTC negotiable on experience
