Our client a multimedia magazine Publishing company focusing on Building Services, Building Design and Mining Industry sectors is looking for an Online Editor with trade and technical experience.
QUALITY REQUIREMENT
1. In conjunction with group editor prepare and document 6 monthly strategic views on all the industry content
2. Produce quality material for the print and online publications ensuring relevance, accuracy, quality, truthfulness and innovative
3. Meet all deadlines
4. Proof and edit all editorial prior to being published
5. Daily updating and maintenance of the website and online engagement.
6. Write, edit and innovatively source and manage site content
7. Work closely with the Internet Business team to plan and create flexible content and traffic acquisition
8. Regularly update and optimise content etc to ensure freshness and relevance
9. Post media releases, news, photo, video and audio content as required to the site and also ensure links are maintained to social media sites.
10. Draft and edit text for website.
11. Produce online content using video/audio/photo archive.
12 Write original material and, when necessary, promotional copy
Requirements
- A tertiary Journalism qualification
- At least two year experience working in an online environment
- An understanding of digital content
- Excellent language skills
- Good time-management skills
- Operating and quality procedures of the company
- English writing / editing proficiency
