Volksblad Group has a vacancy for a reporter in Upington.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Writing reports in Afrikaans and English
* Taking photographs
* Liaison with correspondents
* Building a network of good contacts in the Northern Cape
The sucessful candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Proven Afrikaans and English writing and editing skills
- Skilled in taking of photographs
- An appropriate tertiary qualification
- A lively interest in news affairs
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must have excellent people relations and a good nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work irregular hours
- A valid Code EC driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively
