Job description
Woman & Home has a vacancy for a fashion editor to join its Johannesburg team. The successful candidate must have:
• an absolute passion for fashion and creative flair
• thorough knowledge of the fashion industry locally and internationally
• a keen understanding of the type of fashion suited to W&H's target market and the ability to capture W&H's personality in all images
• at least two years' experience working within the fashion department of a glossy women's magazine
• a portfolio of published works including main fashion shoots and high-quality product shots
• strong relationships with top photographers, make-up artists, stylists and modeling agencies
• a sociable personality and good people skills to make models, readers and celebrities feel relaxed on shoots
• a highly creative mind that can improvise on demand
• good organisational skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure and work well within a team environment
• the ability to lead a fashion team and mentor up-and-coming fashion assistants
