Job description
The incumbent is expected to copy-edit meticulously and with elegance, paying attention to detail. The sub-editor is expected to place copy using Quark XPress, source photos and edit them in Photoshop when necessary, write copy as assigned by the Editor, take responsibility for pre-press, lay out basic advertisements and engage in other production and editorial tasks as directed by the Editor.

Requirements
Must have newspaper/magazine sub-editing experience.
Must be familiar with Quark XPress and preferably have some knowledge of Photoshop.
Must have excellent English skills.
Must be meticulous with an attention for detail.
Must be able to work in a small team.
Must be able to work to deadlines.
Advantageous
Good knowledge of the Catholic Church is an advantage.
