Job description:
3S Media, one of southern Africa's largest B2B publishing houses, has a permanent vacancy available for a chief sub-editor.
The successful candidate will be required to:
• Perform sub-editing and proofreading on the publications and other products in our stable
• Manage the workflow through the sub-editing department to ensure that deadlines are strictly adhered to, including allocating sub-editing and proofreading tasks to other members of the sub-editing department
• Liaise with the production manager in terms of schedules for the sub-editing department.

Requirements
- Five to ten years' experience in magazine publishing or a similar field
- BA (English) or equivalent
- A meticulous eye for detail
- Excellent knowledge of English grammar as well as a feel for language
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proven managerial skills
- Deadline driven.
Advantageous
- Good knowledge of InDesign
- Experience in B2B publishing or technical editing.
