This position will be required to generate bespoke content for a weekly half hour show; this will include but isn't limited to; researching business stories throughout the continent, and booking and securing interviews. The ability to creatively produce in the field and manage time and talent will be a huge aspect of this position. Long Form storytelling and all elements that that entails is what this position is all about; including writing for a global audience, and a good knowledge of edit systems and how to execute an effective production workflow on a weekly basis. In this position time management is critical. A good working knowledge of business journalism is important.
Candidates must have experience in the Television Industry and experience of producing long form. The candidate must be a self-starter and driven to perfection. Experience in field production is a requirement and the ability to be nimble and work well with talent is necessary. Collaboration, delegation and time management is a must. A strong candidate is one who is an editorial titan and would leap at the chance to research, write and field produce the show. The applicant must be comfortable working on any edit platform and be able to migrate to the most applicable system depending on the required outcome. This is a person who is passionate about the craft of television and doesn't mind doing what it takes to end up with a compelling, creative, strongly editorial and visually stimulating product.
