Job description
•Conceptualise, writing and production of material for the various food sections in True Love and relevant supplements in line with editorial strategy set by the Editor
•Ensure all recipes are accurate with appealing images that are implementable for the True Love reader
•Communicate clear briefs to freelancers, and manage content to completion
•Foster strong relationships in the industry with advertisers and readers. This includes representing the magazine at functions
•Prepare and present food workshops
•Manage budgets and deadlines
•Liaise with advertisers where required
Requirements
•A tertiary qualification in journalism, arts or a related profession such as a food technology/ hospitality qualification.
•At least three to five years' experience at a magazine in a related field at a senior level
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
•The ability and willingness to work overtime, and weekends when deadlines demand it
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Outstanding knowledge of the True Love market and the ability to translate this knowledge into compelling food content
•All prospective candidates must have a portfolio of previously published work
